About

Laura Arteaga Charlton is a visual artist/printmaker currently based in south Florida.

She spent her early life in Chapel Hill, NC where she attended the Emerson Waldorf School from kindergarten through 8th grade.

In 2008 Laura completed the foundation year in painting and Anthroposophy at the NeueKUNSTschule in Basel, Switzerland and went on to earn a BFA in painting with a minor in German Literature from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2010.

Before moving to Florida in 2020, Laura spent a decade in New York City. During this time she worked as a collaborative printer at Lower East Side Printshop, a teaching assistant in printmaking at Princeton University, and in exhibition design & production at the Museum of Modern Art.

Her work has been shown internationally in France, Austria, the UK, and in the US at Future Fair NY with Arden & White Gallery, RULE Gallery, LIGHT Art & Design & Oneoneone Gallery in NC, The Painting Center New York, Transmitter Gallery (Brooklyn), International Print Center NY.
